APPLICANT/VISITOR INFORMATION
The members of Crosstrails Sams Club, Chapter #45, wishes to extend a very cordial Welcome to you as an applicant/visitor to our club. We sincerely hope you will have a good time and will come back again. To paraphrase the comedian Jerry Clowers "We have so many different ways, you are bound to like some of them". As a applicant/visitor you may ask, "What is this club all about, what do they expect of their members and what can their members expect of the club"? To answer these questions let us share the following with you. It is the purpose of this chapter to operate as a social organization through the use and operation of recreation vehicles and also to fellowship through trips, group activities, and to share common interests, goals and experiences with one another. As Crosstrails members we engage in monthly scheduled campouts at which we share responsibilities for food, games (card playing is a biggy) and entertainment. We share our experiences in travel, RV living and maintenance and enjoy helping our fellow members take care of RV problems they may be encountering. When the occasion presents itself, we may caravan to distant Good Sam Rally's and State Committee Meetings or even go to the Smoky Mountains or other destinations as a group. Each member of Crosstrails considers themselves a part of an organization that depends on the efforts and contribution of every other member and in turn makes every effort to do their part by serving as club officers, helping in the preparation of food, planning and participating in entertainment, helping with clean up, serving on the telephone calling committee, and doing whatever it takes to have a pleasant and enjoyable meeting/campout. The feeling of good fellowship and satisfaction which results makes it all worthwhile. For over 35 years Crosstrails has tried to follow these ideas and as you meet each of us we sincerely hope you will wish to share these experiences with us. Visitors wishing to become members of the Crosstrails Sams are required to be a member of National Good Sams Organization. Applicant must attend at least two Chapter campouts before submitting an application, which will be voted on at the next regular meeting. After acceptance, applicant must submit payment of the club's annual dues of $12. Applicant will be notified by mail of acceptance or rejection of membership.
